What filters are available?

AAOE offers a number of filters that can be used to fine-tune your reports to get more precise data.

AAOE offers a number of filters that can be used to fine-tune your reports to get more precise data for your benchmarking. Please note that not all filters are available in every report:

  • Survey Period
    • Filter by year to view data for only the selected year or all years available.
  • State
    • Filter by state to view data for only your state.
  • Population
    • Filter by population density to view data for practices in a metropolitan area of similar sizes.
  • Region
    • Filter by region to view data for your census designated region.
  • Practice Size by Physician
    • Filter by practice size for number of physicians.
  • Practice Size by Provider
    • Filter by practice size for all clinical providers.
  • Line of Service
    • Filter by line of services offered within the practice (i.e. durable medical equipment, magenetic resonance imaging, orthopedics, physical and occupational therapy, x-ray).
  • Specialty
    • Filter by the specialties offered at the practice (i.e. anesthesia, chiropractic, sports medicine, total joints, etc.).
  • Compensation Type
    • Filter by the type of compensation included in a compensation package (i.e. annual provider compensation, ASC earnings, hospital compensation, etc.).
  • Administrator Type
    • Filter by the type of administrator (i.e. CEO, COO, CFO, etc.).
  • Employee Type
    • Filter by the type of administrative and clinical employee (i.e. athletic trainer, cast technician, etc.).
  • Expense Type
    • Filter by the type of expense reported (i.e. staffing expenses, office expenses, technology expenses, etc.).
  • Revenue Type
    • Filter by the type of revenue reported (i.e. net patient revenue, other revenue)
  • Payer Type
    • Filter by payer type (i.e. commercial, government, etc.).

Remember, in order for AAOE to maintain compliance with Department of Justice guidelines regarding healthcare price and compensation data, filters that drop the total number of data sources below five (5) respondents will result in no data shown. Learn more here.
